After that Anthony Joshua defeated Andy Ruiz Jr. last Saturday in Saudi-Arabia and gets back his belts, the WBO ordered the mandatory defense. If Anthony Joshua wants to keep the WBO world title he has to fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

The WBO president Paco Valcarcel wrote on Twitter: “Clash On [The] Dunes is over,” WBO president Paco Valcarcel wrote on Twitter, “[but] now clash of [the] mandatories will be next.”

Joshua has to fight against Usyk on or before June 4, 2020, or within 180 days.

Joshua ready to fight with Usyk. So he doesn’t want vacate the belts, he wants to keep this: “In 180 days? Let’s rock and roll mate. No problem!” – said Joshua.

In 2020 Joshua needs to fight with the IBF mandatory challenger, Kuvrat Pulev also. Probably after the Usyk fight, if he can beat the ukranian. And after these fight Joshua wants a unify fight with the WBC champion, with Deontay Wilder or other.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said that they have to speak to the governing bodies, see who goes first, and then deal with that. So maybe not Usyk is the next. We will see.
