Mike Tyson is considered one of the best heavyweight fighters in the world. It is no accident that he was only 20 when he acquired his first heavyweight title in 1986. A year later, he was the undisputed champion of the heavyweight. Until 1990 he was a heavyweight ruler. After losing his world titles, his life and career was a real roller coaster ride.

In an old video, you can watch Mike Tyson’s day when he was an active boxer. He woke up at 4 in the morning and started running at 4:30 until about 6 in the morning. Interestingly, after that he went to bed until 10:45, had breakfast and then restarted his day. Then he went to the gym for training, where he spent hours every day. Many times in the evenings, they talked with their team about the day’s work. This was his daily routine for six days a week, Monday through Saturday. He did not even need to set an alarm clock because his body woke up to the accuracy of a clock.

Tyson trained as a real obsessive, reportedly sparred about 200 rounds a week and spent about 55 hours training. When he was asked why he got so early in his answer: ‘The reason I get up so early is I believe the other guy isn’t doing it and it gives me a little edge.”

Tyson knew his power didn’t enough, he had to train hard to be a champion.
