The WBO/WBC/WBA Super lightweight world Champion Vasyl Lomachenko thinks that Oleksandr Usyk can defeat the WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Lomachenko and Usyk are childhood friends and Lomachenko is a bit biased with Usyk.

Lomachenko said: “Usyk will school Deontay Wilder!”

Usyk won his first fight in heavyweight two weeks ago, but his performance was not very convincing. He defeated Chazz Witherspoon, after Witherspoon gave up the fight after the seventh round.

After the fight Andy Ruiz Jr. was not impressed with his potential Ukranian foe’s performance.

“He’s a great fighter and boxer. I didn’t think he looked too good in his first fight (at heavyweight). I didn’t think he carried his power too much for someone who hasn’t fought for so long. I’m not discrediting the guy he beat, of course, but I think he could have done a lot better. I don’t know, that’s just my opinion … After I win Dec. 7, of course we’ll give him an opportunity to take one of my belts.” – said Ruiz.

Now Usyk is the mandatory challenger in WBO, so maybe next year he can fight for world title against Ruiz or Joshua. Usyk said earlier that for him the WBC green belt is the most important, so He wants to fight Wilder the most.

Many people disagree with Lomachenko. In their opinion, the ukranian is not strong enough for heavyweight and does not have enough power punch.
