Few weeks after that Nigel Benn announced that comeback to the ring at 55 years old. The 56 years old former heavyweight world champion Evander Holyfield announced that will fight in a charity exhibition bout in Japan.

At the end of the last year, on New Year’s Eve Floyd Mayweather Jr. did this, but his match wasn’t charity. He has got a lot of money, high seven figure payday for this fight against Tenshin Nasukawa.

Holyfield advised TMZ Sports that he plans fly over to Japan for a charity exhibition bout in 2020.

Holyfield has been inactive since May 2011, when he stopped Brian Nielsen. But he is in good shape. He has trained with the reigning WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. He said he’s kept himself in prime shape ever since and he’s ready to get back in the ring.

Holyfield says he still thinks he’s got the at signature knockout power.

“I probably do but it’s a charity match and we’ll see.”

But his goal is to raise money for people in need and not to destroy his opponent so the bout will be more of a performance.

“The big thing is to give people in Japan the opportunity to see the only four-time heavyweight champion of the world. It’s something for them and something for me.” – told Holyfield to TMZ.
